Here’s How It Works:

If you are Active Duty Army, Army Reserve, Air Force or National Guard personnel, you may be eligible for up to $4,000 of cybersecurity training from the Army Credentialing Assistance Program, which is part of the Army Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL) service.

This program is designed to provide assistance in getting certifications and licenses to help prepare you for advancement opportunities within the military, as well as help transition into civilian careers.

Today’s employers are looking at certifications as a benchmark of employee’s knowledge and skills. Your National certification shows them that you are an expert who can successfully perform the key job requirements in your field: anywhere the military life takes you.

This is where you will choose your desired certification and which military branch you are currently serving.

2. Fill in your contact information

If you are eligible, select the CLAIM FREE TRAINING button and input your contact details. You will then receive a quote via email from the selected vendor that you are matched with.

3. Submit your quote

Save the file that is attached to the email you receive, this will be submitted through the ArmyIgnitED or Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) portal depending on your military branch. Once that is complete, your training material will be sent to you within 2-4 weeks.

4. Receive your free training

Your courses, training, and exam preparation will all be covered through this program. Once you have taken an exam and received your certificate, you can begin applying for higher paying jobs in the field you have chosen.

Who is eligible for the free training?

Any active duty or active reserve member of the Army, Army Reserve, National Guard or Air Force can be eligible to receive the free training. Veterans and active members of the Navy or Marines do not yet qualify for this program.
